About Graze on Main: Graze on Main is a charming wine and charcuterie shop nestled in one of East Greenwich's oldest buildings, constructed in 1770. Our shop, located in the lower level, provides an authentic European wine cellar experience. Specializing in small production, organic, and sustainable wines and curated meat and artisanal cheeses, we pride ourselves on providing an experience that encourages our guests to connect over unique and flavorful offerings. We prioritize the presentation of our offerings, creating an immersive experience for our guests. Our wine cellar boasts 100 labels of small production, organic, sustainable, and/or biodynamic wines, showcasing the true essence of each grape varietal.

Graze on Main was established in 2020, at a time when the entire business was structured with “charcuterie to-go” in mind. While we still provide many charcuterie boards for off-site gatherings and events, Graze has since expanded to include on-site dining and with such, the menu offerings continue to evolve.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Wine Bar Server who is not only passionate about wines but also possesses a deep knowledge of small production, organic, and sustainable varieties. This role requires expertise in making wine recommendations and a person who prioritizes the presentation of wine and food, creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Wine Knowledge: Demonstrate an extensive understanding of small production, organic, and sustainable wines, staying abreast of industry trends and updates.

2. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their preferences and confidently make wine recommendations that complement their taste preferences.

3. Pairing Expertise: Showcase a passion for cheese and charcuterie, providing expert guidance on pairing selections to enhance the overall tasting experience.

4. Presentation Mastery: Prioritize the visual presentation of wines, cheeses, and charcuterie, ensuring that each offering reflects the high standards of Graze on Main.

5. Inventory Management: Assist in managing wine inventory, ensuring a diverse and curated selection of small production, organic, and sustainable wines and meeting with wine distributors to expand our ever-evolving wine list.

6. Education and Events: Conduct wine tastings, educational sessions, and special events to engage customers and enhance their understanding and appreciation of wine.

7. Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and knowledgeable environment, fostering a sense of discovery and enjoyment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a wine-focused role, preferably in a wine bar or similar setting.

• Extensive knowledge of small production, organic, and sustainable wines.

• Comfortable and confident in making wine recommendations based on customer preferences and/or previously sipped wines.

• Passion for cheese and charcuterie, with an understanding of pairing principles.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• ServSafe Alcohol certificate
