Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a upscaled dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food industry, particularly in fine dining settings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering excellent service, upselling menu items, and ensuring that all guest needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Square POS system.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Participate in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fine dining, is REQUIRED.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and safety protocols is beneficial.
- A team player who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to memorize menu
We are a unique and one of a kind Restaurant offering items from around Oregon and all over the the Mediterranean and Europe. Our servers present the food to our guests by explaining where they are sourced from and tasting notes. We do a lot of special things with our menu that others do not. Our need is someone willing to put time and effort into their job and take pride in what they are doing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.70 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
