What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADR Plant Operator position at GRC Nevada Inc.?
The Isabella Pearl Mine is located at the West end of the Santa Fe mining district in the Walker Lane gold belt about 6 miles northeast of Luning, Nevada, in Mineral County.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The Process Plant Operator maintains and operates operate the process plants including preg feed pumps, spray pumps, kiln, carbon adsorption plants, strip plant, EW circuit, acid wash circuit, fresh water system, and the addition of required reagents. Performs general operations and maintenance work as directed by the Process/Crusher Superintendent.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES
· Provide accurate and complete records as required for specific tasks.
· Maintain safe and clean work area.
· Transfer carbon throughout strip plant circuit.
· Start, shut down, and operate all pumps in the process area.
· Maintain all pond levels by transferring or adding water when necessary.
· Clean and maintain all carbon screens.
· Complete reagent inventory, EOM water usage sheet.
· Operate and monitor process PLC control circuits.
· Switch electrical power between main power and gen. sets
· Must be able to complete solo strip, operate kiln, load acid wash circuit, complete all daily reports, start GenSets, and maintain pond solution balance
· Performs various duties as directed by supervisor.
Safety & Environmental:
· Responsible and accountable for the performance, and compliance of mine site safety and environmental policies and procedures for all personnel and vendors.
· Participate in Planned General Inspections.
· Provide safety and environmental leadership by always setting a good example.
Key Relationships:
· This role requires frequent interaction with department employees, supervision, management and vendors to provide assistance, service, support and for problem resolution as needed.
· Ability to build trust and develop positive working relationships with site personnel and regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· 2-3 years’ mining experience with one year as an operator in a recovery plant.
· 1 - 2 years’ experience operating mobile equipment.
· Proficient in Microsoft programs.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to operate a variety of light equipment, hand trucks and vehicles.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Strong time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
· Able to wear and demonstrate to employees the use of personal protective equipment including hardhat, steel toed footwear, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves (rubber, leather & cloth), and/or any other equipment required to do the job assigned safe.
· Able to read and interpret various safety warning signs and product MSDS, tags, and labels.
· Ability to distinguish various colors as they relate to safety warning signs, tags and labels.
· Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating Warehouse information, issuing directives and providing feedback, to management and subordinates.
· Ability to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
