What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary WOKA Ops Lead position at GRDA?
Overview
Responsible for delivery of exceptional guest services to WOKA customers by developing a strong team of guest service representatives who have a high level of product knowledge, display a professional demeanor and understand their role in the delivery of the guest experience.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the operation of guest services and processes; including but not limited to pass sales, gear rentals, equipment storage, security, parking, custodial services, guest feedback and inquires
- Organize, develop, schedule and lead day-to-day front desk WOKA operations
- Ensure that staff create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all guests and have in-depth knowledge of the organization, products, and services offered
- Enthusiastically represent GRDA and WOKA by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality through all aspects of the job
- Develop and train guest services representatives in order to have a consistently delivered message to guests across the park
- Serve as a key leader on the WOKA team by helping to develop and deliver a customer service training program for all guest services representatives
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a calm, mature, process-driven manner
- Ability to process unique circumstances and provide positive resolution
- Maintain a flexible schedule and regular availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Education, Training, Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Currently obtaining or holds a bachelor’s degree in an Outdoor Recreation, Business, Hospitality, or other related field is preferred
Physical Demands:
- Safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space
- Stand for sustained periods of time
- Lift and move at least 50 pounds
- Work outside in varying weather conditions
- Meet demands of seasonal operation; long hours often required, including nights and weekends
Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.
