The Corporate Actuarial Division is looking for a Data Reporting & Analysis Manager to join the Reserving team. This position will be based out of the office in Cincinnati, OH on a hybrid schedule.

- Pricing Team: This team is tasked with projecting future loss activity and assessing whether prospective rate levels will adequately cover all costs associated with risk transfer.
- Reserving Team: This team is responsible for establishing Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) reserves and estimating the outstanding losses for past exposure periods.
The Corporate Actuarial Division is looking for a Data Reporting & Analysis Manager to join the Reserving team. This position will be based out of the office in Cincinnati, OH on a hybrid schedule.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
- Oversees the data team operations, optimizing workflows and ensuring high productivity.
- Responsible for developing and implementing detailed analysis data to align with reserve analyst and business unit objectives for estimating outstanding losses.
- Oversees the integration, evaluation, and interpretation of datasets to support strategic business initiatives. Ensures the highest standards of data integrity and accuracy.
- Responsible for managing and enhancing database systems, ensuring data is meticulously organized and accessible for strategic reporting needs.
- Manages the delivery of comprehensive reports, dynamic dashboards, and complex visualizations to provide critical insights to stakeholders. Responsive to ad hoc data requests from analysts, effective at communicating to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversees cross-functional collaboration, ensuring complex data reporting requirements are understood and addressed with high-impact solutions. Acts as an advocate for actuarial data needs and serves as a representative in cross-functional data discussions.
- Responsible for informing the team on industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting, integrating new methodologies as appropriate.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for data processes, workflows, reporting standards, and data dictionaries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Generally, a minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, reporting or a related field in the insurance industry.
- Management experience is a plus.
- Strong SQL Programming skills, Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Continuing progress toward and/or completion of a certification in area of expertise preferred; appropriate certifications could include; an Associate Insurance Data Manager (AIDM), or Certificate in General Insurance (INS).
