Data Reporting and Compliance (DRC) specializes in supporting systems work and regulatory reporting for P&C insurance products. Major responsibilities include statistical reporting, "data call" reporting, user acceptance testing, reporting requirements and implementation, and subject matter expertise for commercial lines processing and data reporting.
The intern program provides college students the opportunity to learn about the insurance industry, as well as experience Great American’s corporate culture that values integrity, leadership, customer focus and accountability.
The Data Reporting & Compliance team is looking for an intern to assist with testing our underwriting systems. This position will be in Cincinnati, OH and offer a hybrid schedule during the school year and will be required to work full-time during the summer.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
- Assist in user acceptance testing of our underwriting systems
- Modify Excel Workbooks formulas and rates
- Execute test plans (entering policies in our quote and issuance system and checking results)
- Manually verify rate tables
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong planning and organizing skills and can meet deadlines.
- Experience in Excel including but not limited to Formula manipulation, Filtering & Sorting, Defined Name Ranges, etc.
- Ability to interpret and create written instructions.
- Programming and/or SQL knowledge is preferred but not required.
