Position Overview:
Join Great Basin Industrial as a Welding Apprentice for a hands-on opportunity to learn the welding trade in a dynamic and supportive environment. Through both field and fabrication settings, apprentices will gain valuable experience and training while working closely with experienced welders and fabricators.

Responsibilities- Assist experienced welders in performing welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
- Learn to prepare surfaces for welding, including cutting and grinding materials to specifications.
- Participate in the assembly of metal components and structures according to blueprints and technical drawings.
- Observe and assist in the inspection of welds for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Engage in continuous learning and skill development through hands-on experience and training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interest in a welding career and a desire to learn.
- Some prior experience or exposure to welding processes is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude are beneficial.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
