We are seeking a skilled Field Botanist to join our team and contribute to the success of our environmental research projects. The selected candidate will have extensive experience in botanical surveys, data collection, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough botanical surveys to determine species identity, population characteristics, and environmental conditions.
- Collect and maintain accurate field data using technical keys and hand-held GPS devices.
- Collaborate with other resource staff to ensure seamless project execution.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders through written and oral reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in botany, plant ecology, or a closely related field.
- At least six months of professional fieldwork experience conducting rare plant surveys and botanical fieldwork.
- Experience working with technical keys to identify plants at the species or sub-species level.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of $21.00.
- Overtime compensation at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
