Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time Surgical Assistant to join the team at our new Great Basin Oral and Facial Surgery. This Surgical Assistant must be self-motivated to promote the patient's overall oral health through fantastic communication skills with the patient, the doctors, and the entire dental team, and be willing to help promote the growth of our new office.

Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile
- Maintain a sterile field during surgery by following proper infection control protocols
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance as required
- Handle specimens and send them to the laboratory for analysis
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Document surgical procedures accurately in medical records
Skills
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (DNS and Carestack)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
