What are the responsibilities and job description for the NCC Adjunct Faculty-Mechanical Design position at Great Bay Community College?
Nashua Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required. Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.
We have a need for instructors for the following course(s) in our Mechanical Design program:
Minimum qualifications are Bachelors Degree in the specific subject or closely related field and five years’ experience in teaching, business, or industry in related field. The salary range for this position is $800-$950 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

- Applied Mechanics II-ELMT210N: Continuation of the study of mechanical components with shafts, clutches, belt and chain drives, etc. Emphasis is on proper selection and operating conditions for reliable operation. This course runs this spring Monday evenings from 6pm-8:30pm Monday
- Fluid Power-ELMT204N: The dynamics of liquids and gases encountered in traditional manufacturing, industrial automation, and vehicular applications. This course runs this spring Thursday evenings from-6pm-8:30pm.
