Applications Design Engineer - Industrial Fluid Systems

We're seeking a talented Senior Applications Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Farmington Hills, MI. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in fluid systems, CAD design, and customer relations to drive product solutions across various industries.

• Collaborate with customers to select, specify, and qualify products for diverse industries including:

• Industrial and commercial sectors
• University research facilities
• Construction and manufacturing
• Gas exploration and petrochemical industries
• Biotech and power generation

• Develop and review technical documentation, including:

• Design change support
• CAD drawings and fluid system schematics
• P&IDs and blueprints

• Provide technical support to the sales team, including:

• Preparing quotes and processing orders
• Conducting on-site customer visits within the company territory

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives:

• Participate in professional development programs
• Utilize technology to enhance work processes

• Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline (required)

• Experience:

• 2 years in fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing (preferred)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including advanced skills in drawing creation and file exchange

• Skills:

• Expertise in interpreting customer applications and developing P&IDs and fluid schematics
• Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability to dynamic team environments
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Additional Requirements:

• Ability to pass background checks and drug testing for customer site visits
