Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the adolescent psychiatric unit, including staffing, scheduling, and productivity management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and family satisfaction
• Implement and monitor evidence-based treatment protocols, including cognitive behavioral intervention therapy
• Coordinate staff education and annual competencies
• Assess, plan, and evaluate all aspects of patient care in the behavioral health program
• Serve as a clinical expert in adolescent mental health, guiding staff in best practices
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control measures
Qualifications and Requirements
• Current Registered Nurse license
• BSN or MSN strongly preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of behavioral health leadership experience in an acute care setting
• Expertise in adolescent mental health and cognitive behavioral intervention therapy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certifications within 30 days of employment
