Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for a Level IV NICU unit during assigned shifts
- Direct patient care coordination, including complex admission and discharge processes
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes
- Mentor and develop nursing staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Implement evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with healthcare standards
- Manage staffing schedules and resource allocation to optimize patient care
- Participate in performance improvement and staff development programs
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Required Qualifications:
- Current Texas RN license or compact license
- BSN required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years recent (within last year) Level IV NICU charge nurse experience
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Current STABLE certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives
