Director of Perioperative Services & Surgical Operations
A leading healthcare facility in the heart of the Midwest is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Surgical Services to lead our state-of-the-art perioperative department. Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all perioperative services, including pre-op, OR, PACU, and sterile processing
- Drive clinical excellence through evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage a multi-million dollar departmental budget, including capital equipment planning
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of perioperative professionals
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, CMS, state regulations)
- Foster physician partnerships and drive surgical program growth
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Oversee quality metrics, patient safety initiatives, and performance improvement programs
Required Qualifications:
- BSN required; MSN, MBA, or MHA preferred
- Current RN licensure in state of practice
- Minimum 5 years perioperative nursing experience
- 3 years of progressive leadership experience in surgical services
- CNOR certification preferred
- CSSM certification preferred
- Strong financial acumen and business operations experience
- Excellence in team leadership and physician relations
