Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

• Deliver acute care services and stabilize patients in a high-volume Emergency Department.

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and manage treatment plans.

• Collaborate closely with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.

• Document all patient interactions using the Epic EMR system.

• Adapt to a variety of shifts in a dynamic, 24/7 emergency care environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.

• Active New Jersey NP/PA license (or eligible to obtain).

Certifications (Required):

• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support

• BLS – Basic Life Support

• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support

• ATLS – Advanced Trauma Life Support (preferred but not required)

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Medicine setting (hospital-based required).

Compensation & Schedule

• Base Rate: $95/hour for first 12 shifts/month (1099 contract)

• Additional Shifts: $100/hour for extra shifts

• Annual Earnings:

  • ~$165,000/year (12 shifts/month)

  • ~$180,000/year (average 40 hours/week)

  • ~$200,000 /year with additional shifts

Flexible Shift Coverage Options:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Mid Shifts: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM / 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM

• Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
