Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - Lead Your Team to Excellence
We're seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead our high-performing maintenance team in Charlottesville, VA. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee all aspects of building maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects while managing a skilled team of maintenance professionals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and safety
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance projects, repairs, and renovations
- Manage contractor relationships and oversee third-party service providers
- Create and maintain maintenance schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
- 4 years of supervisory experience in facilities maintenance or construction management
- Valid Virginia Driver's License
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, CAD, and building construction standards
- Strong knowledge of national, state, and local building codes
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and work order management systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade license in relevant field
- Technical training or completed apprenticeship in building trades
- Experience in healthcare or commercial facility management
