HVAC & Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic

Are you an experienced HVAC & R professional ready to take on an impactful role? Join our team as an  HVAC & Refrigeration Specialist  in Roanoke, Virginia, where you’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex facility systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, and Building Automation Systems (BAS). With a Monday-Friday schedule and opportunities for overtime, this role is perfect for an expert ready to lead specialty projects while working with cutting-edge equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform, troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC & R systems, BAS systems, and equipment across large and complex facilities.
• Oversee and inspect work orders, preventatives, emergency repairs, and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
• Conduct and manage routine maintenance schedules to guarantee system performance and longevity.
• Program or modify BAS functionality to optimize equipment efficiency and perform data analysis.
• Inspect and service electrical and mechanical equipment using tools, diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
• Lead initiatives to develop efficient utility control systems and provide technical assistance to teams for timely project completion.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including blueprints, work orders, and instructional manuals.
• Train and update team members on technical advances, compliance standards, and department capabilities.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of BAS programming and automated building controls.

Job requires emergency personnel availability during weather events. Travel between facility locations may be necessary.
