Join our team as a Lighting Control Systems Technician and play a vital role in the start-up, commissioning, and maintenance of cutting-edge lighting control systems across New England. This position combines technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and customer engagement, allowing you to work on innovative projects while training end-users and collaborating closely with our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Perform start-up reviews of project documentation and ensure the proper implementation of lighting control schemes based on specifications.
Commission lighting control systems and provide superior field technical support to ensure seamless functionality and compliance with project designs.
Troubleshoot and manage integration with BAS / AV systems, addressing and resolving issues as they arise.
Serve as a subject matter expert by mentoring and providing support to internal colleagues.
Collaborate with building owners, managers, electrical contractors, and integration technicians to address technical concerns tied to lighting control operations.
Update, revise, and maintain control-related design drawings and documentation for use in final project deliverables.
Liaise with the manufacturer's engineering team to resolve field-based technical challenges and relay solutions to clients.
Work with project managers and engineering teams to suggest product enhancements and improvements.
Conduct comprehensive control training sessions in both classroom and job site settings for internal and external audiences.
Travel within the New England market to deliver exceptional technical support and training.

Qualifications

Education in Electrical, Electronics, HVAC, or a related field through a Vocational High School or equivalent degree program.

Minimum of 7 years of experience with electrical controls; Tridium Niagara Certification is required.

Possession of an OSHA 30 Certification card.

Valid driver’s license with a clean record for travel purposes.

Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in networking systems, including routers, hubs, and LAN lines.

Advanced knowledge of BACnet and TCP / IP devices on the Tridium Niagara platform.

Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time-management abilities.

Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Skilled in customer service with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, networking, and programmable logic software systems.
