Mother/Baby Unit Nurse Manager - Women's Health Leadership Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our Mother/Baby Care Unit at a premier healthcare facility in Texas. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with operational management, offering the opportunity to shape the future of maternal and newborn care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in the Postpartum and Newborn Nursery units
- Drive clinical excellence through quality improvement initiatives and best practices implementation
- Oversee daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management
- Develop and maintain strong physician and interdepartmental relationships
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
- Champion patient safety and quality care initiatives
- Spearhead Women's Health-specific programs and process improvements
- Manage performance evaluations and professional development of staff
Required Qualifications:
- Current Texas RN license or compact license
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- 5 years recent acute care experience (2 years considered with supervisory experience)
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- NRP certification
- Proven leadership experience in Mother/Baby or Women's Health setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with quality metrics and process improvement
