Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Clinical Laboratory Technologist
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic laboratory team. In this role, you will perform critical analytical procedures and testing in our state-of-the-art 24/7 clinical laboratory facility, serving both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex laboratory analyses on blood, body fluids, and tissue specimens
- Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Ensure quality control measures and maintain accurate documentation
- Report test results promptly through laboratory information systems
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding test results and technical inquiries
- Perform specimen collection and handling procedures when required
- Support laboratory operations and maintain compliance with safety protocols
- Participate in competency assessments and continuing education
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) ASCP certification preferred
- Ability to obtain Nevada Clinical Laboratory Technologist license within 7 months
- Recent clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Computer proficiency with laboratory information systems
