Pulmonary Function Technologist (PFT) - Respiratory Care Specialist
We're seeking a detail-oriented Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our respected healthcare team. Working with state-of-the-art equipment in our modern PFT Lab, you'll be essential in helping diagnose and monitor respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive pulmonary function testing using both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic techniques
- Execute precise diagnostic measurements using advanced respiratory testing equipment
- Ensure accurate documentation of test results in electronic medical records
- Maintain laboratory equipment through regular calibration and quality control procedures
- Manage inventory and maintain a clean, efficient testing environment
- Provide educational support to medical residents and respiratory care students
- Coordinate and participate in community health fairs and outreach programs
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a CoARC-approved respiratory therapy program
- Current respiratory therapy license
- AHA BLS-HCP certification
- Commitment to obtain CPFT certification within first year of employment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of clinical respiratory care experience
- Experience with pulmonary function testing
- AHA ACLS certification
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
