Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) - Acute Care | Tampa Bay Area

Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Document patient care activities in EMR systems
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, and post-discharge care
- Monitor and manage medical equipment and supplies
- Serve as a patient advocate and ensure patient safety standards
- Mentor and support nursing support staff
Qualifications:
- Current Florida RN license or multi-state license required
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (must obtain within 30 days)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
