Vascular OR Surgical Technologist II - Operating Room Specialist

Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile field during vascular surgical procedures
- Anticipate surgeon's needs and assist with surgical instrumentation
- Ensure proper handling, care, and maintenance of surgical equipment
- Monitor and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in surgical counts and documentation
- Assist in room turnover and preparation between cases
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Eligible for registration with VA Department of Health Professions
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous vascular surgery experience
- Military medical service experience welcomed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with minimally invasive procedures
