Afternoon Teacher

Job Overview

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Provide early intervention strategies for students who may require additional support in their learning journey.
• Promote literacy education through innovative teaching techniques and resources.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support child welfare and development initiatives.
• Maintain classroom discipline while promoting respect and understanding among students.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably with children in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies is essential.
• Familiarity with literacy education techniques and resources is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create a nurturing classroom environment that supports child welfare and fosters academic growth.
• Experience in childcare or related fields is a plus, particularly within private school settings.
• A valid teaching certification or relevant degree in education is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates with relevant experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
