Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and curriculum development tailored to the needs of each child.
- Support children in their daily activities, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual student needs.
- Facilitate small group activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, ensuring all materials are organized and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Experience working with children, particularly in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Knowledge of curriculum development that meets developmental milestones for young learners.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational frameworks is a plus.
- Understanding of working with individuals with autism and other disabilities to create inclusive learning experiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
