JOB SUMMARY
The team leader is a shift-based, front line operations leader who efficiently assists in improving quality, safety, and productivity while assisting and leading teams. The Team Leader is accountable for achieving their own operational goals while actively driving team performance and supporting the success of their department. The team leader will be a working member of the team who will assist production and plant operations. The Team Leader supports shift operations, reports operational issues to the supervisor, and supports decision-making by taking on additional responsibilities as needed. This role requires flexibility to work overtime and weekends based on business demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Actively participates in daily production activities while meeting individual performance expectations.
· Provides clear direction and daily support to team members, offering guidance to employees.
· Supports the Supervisor by escalating operational or personnel issues that require attention and resolution.
· Promotes a positive and productive team environment by modeling accountability, urgency, and a commitment to safety and quality.
· Assists in achieving production schedules, quality targets, and plant performance goals.
· Monitors scrap, rework, and waste, taking proactive steps to reduce non-conformances and control hidden costs.
· Interprets blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of production tasks.
· Verifies completed work meets specifications and maintains appropriate documentation.
· Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
· Encourages open communication and engages team members in continuous improvement initiatives.
· Embraces additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor to support team or plant needs.
· Other job duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively motivate and support other team members.
- Self-motivated with the ability to solve problems and make decisions independently.
- Knowledge of Quality standards.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems.
- Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.71 - $26.91 per hour
