Job Description:
We’re looking for a dynamic, outgoing, and driven Marketing Specialist to join our team and represent our salon in the local community. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building partnerships with nearby businesses, increasing brand awareness, and attracting new clients through community-based marketing strategies. Responsibilities:
- Community Outreach: Proactively visit local businesses (such as boutiques, gyms, coffee shops, churches, daycare, schools and wellness centers) to promote our salon, distribute promotional materials, and build strong relationships.
- Collaborations & Partnerships: Develop mutually beneficial partnerships with complementary businesses, planning joint promotions, events, and cross-promotions.
- Event Planning: Organize and attend community events, pop-up shops, and local fairs to represent the salon, increase brand exposure, and drive new client acquisition.
- Referral Program Management: Establish and maintain a referral program with local businesses, offering exclusive incentives for businesses and their employees.
- Promotional Material Distribution: Design and distribute eye-catching flyers, brochures, and promotional items to businesses in high-traffic areas.
- Social Media Collaboration: Coordinate with local businesses to feature each other on social media, creating collaborative posts and promotions that expand reach.
- Track & Report Results: Regularly monitor the effectiveness of community outreach efforts, track new client acquisition, and report on the return of marketing initiatives.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date on community events, identify potential partnership opportunities, and monitor competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing, sales, or community outreach (preferably in the beauty, retail, or wellness industry)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for networking and building relationships
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Creative and proactive in finding new opportunities for collaboration and client acquisition
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing principles
- Passion for beauty, wellness, and supporting local businesses
