Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning, with an emphasis on industrial cleaning and floor care techniques.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial and including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct thorough floor care activities, including buffing and polishing surfaces to maintain their appearance.
- Carry out custodial duties such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas bathrooms and floors.
- must be able to have a good working cell phone , and be able to complete app class to know how we upload our work tickets. or we won't get paid .
- must be able to know there way around the DC area. and know where to park .
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Job will start as part time then gradually as we get more work add more weekly hours for now will just be 8 hours 1 day a week.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in all assigned areas.
- Previous experience in custodial or porter roles is a plus but not mandatory.
