Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced dental office environment. Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records by filing and updating health information management systems.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and weave for appointment scheduling and dental billing processes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Assist with administrative tasks including typing correspondence, managing files, and processing insurance claims.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth operation of the office and optimal patient flow.
Skills
- Proficiency in phone systems for effective communication with patients and staff.
- Strong typing skills for accurate data entry and documentation.
- Experience in health information management to maintain patient records efficiently.
- Familiarity with Dentrix and weave software is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is upheld at all times.
- Basic understanding of medical billing processes to assist with insurance claims as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
