Great Eastern Management Company is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician in Charlottesville, VA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general apartment maintenance, apartment turnover process, service requests and preventative maintenance programs. Duties include:
- Perform maintenance duties such as plumbing, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, carpentry and general repairs.
- Complete routine preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
- Completes all required paperwork and ticket close out procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- HVAC Certification a plus
- One year of multifamily maintenance experience a plus
- Participation in the on call rotation is required
- Must have excellent communication, problem solving, organization and people skills.
- Successfully pass a drug test
- Use of own hand tools is required
- Reliable transportation required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
