Job Summary
The Security Assistant Manager of Field Operations position works closely assisting the Security Manager to ensure the successful operations of the Resort Security and Special Services Department. The Assistant Security Manager of Field Operations oversees Security Supervisory, Field, Event and Seasonal Security Operations. Assists with writing, developing and implementing security policies and procedures. Conducts training for department and company. Attends meetings and represents the Security Management Team. Evaluates staff performances and identifies coaching opportunities. Excellent communicator with Resort guests, staff, outside agencies and vendors. Tracks daily operations, reviews incident and accident reports, and conducts advance investigations. Responsible for maintaining, inspection and tracking of security, safety, and Fire-Life equipment. Navigates larger scale complaints and provides exceptional customer service. Oversees special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and approved driving record
Clean criminal and education history
3 years Security Supervisor/Management experience
Relevant investigative and safety skills
Relevant NFPA knowledge fire and life safety
Excellent communication skills – verbal, listening, written, electronic
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
First Aid/CPR/AED
Preferred
College degree
Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue, and/or Military Management
Safety Management background
Typical Schedule
Days:
Monday–Friday is typical
Must be flexible to adjust schedule to accommodate staff time off, holidays, weekends, company emergencies, investigations, inspections and M.O.D. duties
Hours:
8:30am–5pm is typical

Core Responsibilities
- Keep the Security Manager informed of urgent and key information of occurrences, incidents and investigations
- Keep Resort MOD and executives informed of urgent and key information
- Manage the Security Department Supervisory and Field Operations
- Assist with managing the Security Department Office Operations when needed
- Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures that accurately reflects the corporate security strategy that provide realistic and attainable security goals
- Conduct gap analysis and recurrent policy reviews
- Build, lead, train, manage, and motivate team in a dynamic, rapidly-evolving and cross-functional environment that is centered around the use of people, process and technology to ensure life-safety and protect assets
- Review reports, follow ups and investigate claims and complaints
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings/trainings that are relevant, engaging and effective from both a leadership and employee perspective
- Advise internal teams and groups regarding specific security and safety concerns
- Research industrials industry best practices relating to security and Fire-Life safety management and related services
- Oversee the upkeep and preservation of all security technology systems, including vehicles, security equipment, Alarms, CCTV systems as well as security software systems
- Maintain, inspect and track fire-life, safety and security equipment
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and alignment of position responsibilities for each shift
- Process weekly payroll
- Serve as Security M.O.D. for department as scheduled
- Act as a customer service ambassador resort-wide
- Participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned or tasked by management
