What You Will Be Doing
- Welcome, entertain, interact, meet, greet and assist guests on midways and in show venues
- Perform as an animated character in a variety of costumes
- Entertain park guests in a professional manner, and ensure a positive experience for every guest
- Be alert and aware of guest disturbances or harassment of actors in the designated zone
- Serve as a contact point between actors and Public Safety if any such issues arise
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of attraction, zone, or performance venue
- Facilitate friendly interactions with guests who have concerns or questions
- Comply with all Great Escape Resort policies and procedures
- Wear appropriate uniform and behave in the manner that fits management
- Provide the services in a fast and safe manner
How You Will Do It
- Maintain costume character standards as set forth by Six Flags
- Maintain character costumes including general cleaning and daily maintenance
- Maintain and clean show venues, backstage areas, and dressing rooms
- Maintain all of the guidelines outlined in the department and character training
- Willfully perform duties in any department at The Great Escape Resort when necessary
- Be an active team member of the Operations Division and the Entertainment Department
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members
- Follow all delegated tasks assigned by Entertainment Supervisor or as stated in the Entertainment Standard Operating Procedures
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
What You Will Need
- Must be at least 16 years old (Team Members under 18 will need a NYS child actor permit)
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to work safely in high heat environments
- Ability to actively communicate with large groups of Guests
- Willingness to speak in public, both in person and with a microphone
- Be available to work flexible hours, nights and weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines
Pay Range: All roles start at $15.50/hr and go up to $22.00 depending on skill level and experience.
