Summary
Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) nurses provide comprehensive community health nursing services to people who are pregnant and their infants until age 2. You will work in partnering with parents/caregivers to provide connection, assistance, and resources available in local communities. You will monitor developmental milestones and progress to infants up to 2 years old with parents/caregivers to inform ongoing need for direct service, consultation and/or assessment. This is a full-time or part-time, 20 or 40 hours per week position.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides home visits to women and their families eligible for the NFP Program.
- Adheres to the nursing process and the NFP model of home visitation.
- Carries a caseload of up to 25 clients.
Working Conditions
- Work assignments will involve travel between Aspen to Parachute. Mileage and time will be compensated.

- Written and Verbal Communication- NHVs need to communicate effectively, openly and
consistently with their families, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Time Management- NHVs who can flexibly schedule and reschedule a day’s activities based on
multiple factors.
- Listening- interactions between NHVs and clients depend on the NHVs ability to listen attentively and accurately to the client’s current experience.
- Ability to impose structure- in between and during home visits, NHVs must be able to create
structure in moments of confusion, disorganization or crisis.

Job Qualifications
- BSN required.
- Current RN license (in good standing) required.
- Current CPR required.
- Two years recent experience in maternal/child health, public health, home visiting or mental/behavioral nursing preferred.
- Home visiting experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license and insured automobile required
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and education. The work environment is supportive and positive, with no weekend hours required. The hiring range for this position is $35-$41 per hour.
