Job Description
The Medical Surgical/Progressive Care nurse delivers comprehensive patient care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit. The nurse works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent And Degree from an Accredited Nursing Program
- Knowledge: Advanced Nursing Principles and Procedures; Critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred
- Skills: Use of advanced medical equipment, including A- lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, patients requiring noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support, basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
