Job Description
The Medical Surgical/Progressive Care nurse provides care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit. The nurse will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent And Degree from an Accredited Nursing Program
- Knowledge: Advanced Nursing Principles and Procedures; Critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred
- Skills: Basic office equipment operation, multiple IV pump usage, and advanced medical equipment operation, including A- lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and patients requiring noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support, as well as basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
