Experienced Carpenter

Great Falls Construction is looking for experienced Carpenters to be part of our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures, along with materials similar to wood, and interior and exterior installations to support both commercial and residential construction projects. We are looking for individuals who are eager to contribute to the progress of our projects while growing professionally in a fun and supportive environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Follow all safety rules and Federal, State, local, and client regulations as well as implement company safety program to maintain a safe environment.
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or plans to prepare project layout to determine dimensions and materials required.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using relevant tools.
• Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, flooring, trim, or hardware.
• Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
• Erect scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers.
• Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props.
• Remove damaged or defective parts or structures and repair or replace.
• Install rough door and window frames, subflooring, fixtures, or temporary supports
• Interact and communicate with management, subcontractors, and other crew members in a professional manner.
• Clean up worksite debris.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business
  
  

What You Will Need To Succeed

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Have a bias toward action and an impatience towards those that lack focus and/or the ability to get results.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds individually and up to 100 pounds with assistance devices (dollies, hand trucks, additional persons).
• Access to personally owned tools.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
