POSITION TITLE: Airfield Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director-Operations
DATE: 1-22-2025
PURPOSE: The Airfield Maintenance position is responsible for the operation of maintenance and upkeep of all aspects of the Airport property. This includes the airfield, grounds, buildings, vehicles, streets, and parking lots.

- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the organization and completion of the following assigned responsibilities. This is a general description of duties and is not an exhaustive list of all assignments. The following include the essential functions of the job.
Responsible for all aspects of building maintenance and cleaning, installation, inspection and repair, which would include being able to do plumbing, electrical work, telephone and computer wiring, carpentry, mechanical, painting, texturing, taping, siding, and roofing in the following areas:
- Sinks, toilets, flushometers, dishwashers, etc.
- Exterior and interior building structure including the roof, walls, bathroom stalls, cupboards, etc.
- Pumps, and motors
- Computer, telephone and electronic wiring and equipment
- Lighting which would include ballast, transformers, and re-lamping
- Emergency lighting, power distribution and power generators
- Structural maintenance
- Remodeling which could include additions or changes to the interior or exterior
- Airfield maintenance which consists of paving, concrete maintenance, repairs, drainage, storm water system maintenance, mowing, safety, weed control, FOD awareness, painting, snow and ice removal/control, daily inspections, conditions reporting, NOTAMS, lighting, and signage in the following areas:
- Runways, Taxiways, Ramps, Aprons
- Safety Areas
Responsible for seasonal groundside maintenance, which includes clean-up of debris, repair of lighting and signage, weed control, snow and ice removal, irrigation, ground equipment maintenance, and lawn and yard upkeep. This includes Airport roadways, walkways, streets, parking lots, and grounds.
Vehicle and equipment maintenance and operations. This will include the maintenance, repair and operations of all types of equipment along with the Airfield Mechanic.
Responsible to supervise and direct a snow crew.
Work in a manor that promotes a safe work environment free from accidents and injuries.
Maintain the highest utmost safety and security in all aspects of the job.
Other duties will be assigned as necessary.
Pay, Benefits and Additional Info :
- Hourly position paying $18 (negotiable depending on experience above and beyond the minimum requirements)
