Baker and Bakery Prep
Location: Great Harvest Bakery & Cafe, Crown Point, IN
Pay: From $12/hour

Do you have a passion for crafting fresh, high-quality baked goods from scratch? Great Harvest NWI is looking for a Baker to join our team and help bring our delicious breads and goodies to life in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

Responsibilities:
As a Baker, you will:
- Prep ingredients, mix, knead, proof, and bake breads according to Great Harvest recipes and standards.
- Mix batters and glazes for a variety of scratch-made goodies.
- Bake goodies from scratch, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Monitor and adjust recipes for fluctuating variables to maintain product excellence.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and health guidelines.
- Wash and sanitize equipment, tools, and surfaces after use.
- Support other bakery tasks and team members as needed.
- Follow an efficient production schedule to meet daily and special order demands.
What We’re Looking For:
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- A proactive attitude and ability to handle tasks with minimal supervision.
- Dependability and flexibility, especially during busy holiday seasons (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in the craft of baking.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a phone.
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 60 pounds and perform physically strenuous tasks throughout the shift (with or without accommodation).
- Ability to stand for the entire shift and work early morning hours (as early as 12 AM).
- Previous baking experience is required.
