Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team in a fast-paced food processing plant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various operations within the facility, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. Duties
- Operate and maintain equipment, including forklifts, to facilitate the movement of materials and products within the facility.
- Assist in food production processes while adhering to FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Sanitate work areas and equipment regularly to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols to identify and mitigate potential hazards during food processing.
- Fabricate components as needed for production operations, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food processing plant or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with CGMP, FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and food industry standards is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but can be obtained after hiring.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy items as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
