Responsibilities
Perform all work as assigned while adhering to high standards associated with safety and workmanship
Responsible for the safe operation of HVAC systems within the facility particularly the production and freezer units
Performs Planned Maintenance (PM ' s) on HVAC units to minimize breakdowns
Communicate effectively with management on solutions to aid in efficient operation of units
Testing and troubleshooting of 110 / 230 / 460-volt electrical equipment including motors, starters, relays, timers, panels, breakers, fuses, conduit and wiring.
Able to read, interpret and use Electrical Control schematics for trouble shooting purposes.
Provide a rapid response to malfunctioning equipment at any time
Maintain proper logs and records of planned maintenance
Inspect aerial lifts daily before use
Understand s and adheres to established safety programs (lockout / tag out, ladder safety , etc.)
Ensure that units and facility are maintained in compliance to electr ical an d fire regulations
Assist in the upkeep of the facility where ever directed to by man agement
Complete work orders for general building maintenance as needed
Oversees and works with out side support services on large project s involving Freon units
Participates in Freon recovery and pump down service on units
Maintai ns a clean and orderly work area
Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.

Available to work extended hours as needed or an y shift, as required, to su pport a 24 / 7 operati on.
Proper and safe use of hand and power tools.
Able to work on elevated platf orms safely fo r extended per iods of time
Basic plumbing (sol dering, PVC, stain less pipe)
Basic electrical knowledge
Summary
This HVAC Technician position requires a skilled individual with core competencies in refrigeration and HVAC systems. Premium skills such as construction knowledge, service technician experience, and familiarity with schematics and HVAC design are highly valued. Additionally, experience in plumbing and electrical work is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will also possess relevant skills in mechanical knowledge, field service, appliance repair, property maintenance, air conditioning, and equipment repair. Experience with ammonia refrigeration, HVAC / R systems, welding, and being a van driver are considered advantageous for this position.

Pay : $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
