Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and safety protocols. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze equipment performance and identify areas for improvement or repair.
- Utilize tools such as ammeters and voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Operate scissor lifts safely to access elevated work areas for maintenance tasks.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed to repair or fabricate components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Work with high voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to develop preventive maintenance schedules.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies as they arise.
Experience
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage applications.
- Familiarity with using diagnostic tools such as ammeters and voltmeters.
- Experience with welding techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to analyze problems effectively and implement practical solutions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a maintenance environment.
- Previous experience using CMMS for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules is desirable.
