Job Summary
We are seeking a Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Utilize RF scanners for accurate inventory management and order picking processes.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in building pallets for shipment and maintaining an organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while adhering to safety regulations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, is highly desirable.
- Experience with RF scanners for inventory management is a plus.
- Strong understanding of materials handling practices and safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining individual accountability.
