Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure new biomedical equipment and devices according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct initial testing to ensure equipment is operational before use.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Document all service activities and update inventory records as required.
Customer Service and Support:
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Respond promptly to service requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on patient care.
Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular safety checks and quality assurance tests on biomedical equipment.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment failures to the appropriate authorities and follow up on corrective actions.

Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair. Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Certification: Certification from a recognized biomedical equipment technician organization (e.g., AAMI, CBET) is preferred.
