About the Role:
We're looking for someone sharp, assertive, and organized — the kind of person who doesn’t let things slide. As a Judgment Collection Assistant at Great Lakes Civil Services, you’ll play a critical role in our post-judgment enforcement process. You’ll be working from the office in Burton, MI to support court officers while they carry out field enforcement actions. Your job is to track down information, update systems, organize documents, update clients, and make sure deadlines don’t get missed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and enter judgment case data accurately into our system
- Provide timely updates to clients on their case status
- Remit payments to clients and manage financial records
- Conduct skiptracing to locate individuals and assets
- Prepare and organize auction and asset sale documentation
- File documents with courts and follow up on case progress
- Support court officers during property seizures and auctions (office-based)
- Keep judgment collections tight and running on schedule
Job Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident, direct communication style — you're not afraid to pick up the phone or push for answer
- Comfortable using computers, managing hardcopy files, and learning new systems
- Ability to multitask effectively
