Job Summary
The Route Planner is responsible for developing, optimizing, and coordinating efficient transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries for process servers. This role involves analyzing legal cases and comparing addresses, considering traffic patterns, and working closely with drivers and dispatch teams to streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and optimize delivery and service routes based on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational needs.
- Monitor and adjust routes in response to traffic conditions, road closures, weather, and other unforeseen obstacles.
- Communicate route plans and updates to drivers and dispatch teams, ensuring clarity and adherence to schedules.
- Utilize routing software and GPS technology to track and modify routes as needed.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in routing operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, transportation planning, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mapping and routing software, GPS systems, and fleet management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to adapt to changing conditions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and logistics software.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards is a plus.
