Maintenance Grounds Keeper
Job Overview
The Maintenance Grounds Keeper works closely with the maintenance manager and maintenance director to support projects and daily activities such as maintaining landscaping, servicing, and repairing HVAC systems, performing pest control, and cleaning and painting common areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance.
- Perform general building cleaning and maintenance
- Install and repair broken or leaking plumbing.
- Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and other parts of building.
- Perform minor electrical repairs.
- Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Shovel Snow from walkways, plow snow utilizing company vehicles, and sprinkle salt down to avoid slip and falls.
- Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment
- Complete tasks to support facility upkeep, building maintenance and needs of associates.
- Participates in safety and other programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Problem solving Skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least five years of maintenance experience required.
- Must have valid driver's license.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is in both outdoor and indoor in a production environment. The environment is dusty. The employee is exposed to heat and cool in the production environment daily as affected by the weather conditions. The noise level in the production environment is normally loud. This position requires the employee is physically present at the location for all of the responsibilities.

Must be able to operate basic production equipment which could include hand or power tools.
