Job Overview
The Team Leader is responsible for operations at the plant to ensure production lines produce a product that meets customer quality and delivery requirements. In conjunction with the Plant Manager oversees all personnel in assigned area. Observes, promotes, and ensures compliance of all rules and policies maintained by the company (safety, continuous improvement, leadership, core values).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all safety protocols, including PPE requirements are followed.
- Assist with and seek out continuous improvement efforts to drive production efficiencies.
- Focus on maintaining housekeeping throughout the plants.
- Assign tasks to associates and reassign associates throughout the day.
- Directly responsible for production flow of assigned machines and ensuring maximum output by motivating associates and pushing production.
- Lead the manufacturing team, including training, coaching, guiding, and ensuring all employees are appropriately trained on Job Safety Analysis.
- Troubleshoot and minimize downtime on machines as issues arise.
- Lead by example through hands-on operation of machines, forklifts, etc. to maintain production flow throughout the day.
- Assessing and reporting the need for disciplinary and counseling actions regarding direct report employees
- Cultivating a sense of urgency with the team
- Managing inventory effectively by frequently participating in cycle counts and ensuring appropriate inventory is being used.
- Minimize unnecessary change overs and maintain efficiency in production processes.

Education and Experience
- Two year’s related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; required
- Basic computer skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
