Job Summary
We're looking to add one or two more servers to the team. At Palette we offer a unique colorful experience with an emphasis on craft cocktails and new American fare. The upscale casual experience is perfect for the location within walking distance to Breese Field, the Sylvee, and Old Sugar Distillery.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers in a friendly manner.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system.
• Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Experience in the food industry, including familiarity with food preparation techniques.
• Proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to sanitize work areas effectively to maintain health standards.
• Experience with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $7.25 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
