Job Summary
Great Lakes Optometry is seeking an outstanding compassionate person with a strong customer service background and desire to make our patients happy. Must love working with people and be genuinely positive and enthusiastic. We will train the necessary eye care skills if you already have the customer service experience. You must be committed providing legendary customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering an amazing visit experience for all patients
- Answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and verifying patient insurance
- Assisting patients with glasses selection
- Educating patients on contact lens care
- Ordering, verifying, adjusting, and repairing eyeglasses
- Edging eyeglass lenses
- Processing orders, managing inventory, and other administrative work
- Working with medical and optical insurance
- Perform optometric technician duties
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be courteous and display strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate basic computer skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Be motivated, dependable and able to deliver an exceptional patient experience
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred but not required
