Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, such as a clinic or hospital setting. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care in an outpatient environment.
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Provide support in urgent care situations, ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Facilitate patient service by scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Works with children of all ages from birth to 20 years old.
- Is able to perform various POCT within the office such ad lead testing, strep testing, RSV testing, Influenza testing, eye and vision testing
- Is able to identify age appropriate vaccines and administer vaccines.
- Is able to help facilitate referrals to outside care and obtain authorization through insurance companies when needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in areas such as pediatrics/Family Practice.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor during high-stress situations.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
